Jersey Tourism to hold agent quest
JERSEY Tourism has teamed up with tour operators to hold a series of educational treasure hunts around the UK for agents over the next 12 months.The first is in Southampton on July 11 with Premier Holidays. Some 200 agents will be invited to race around Hampshire finding information about the Channel Islands. The second treasure hunt will be on July 13 in Cardiff. Travelsmith Holidays will co-host the Welsh event.
Jersey Tourism’s UK sales manager Dawn Pinson said it had decided to try the hunts in the UK after involving agents in similar events in Jersey.
She said more regional UK areas will be targeted for the treasure hunts. “The regional focus is particularly relevant for us, as at the height of summer Jersey can be reached from over 25 mainland UK airports.”
Jersey Tourism will reveal additional dates and regions for the hunts over the next few weeks.
