n guernsey to receive 86 cruise ships in 2000


Guernsey Tourist Board claims that the number of cruise ships visiting the island this year will double to 86. It estimates a total of 25,000 cruise passengers will visit Guernsey this year bringing in around £1m in revenue. Ships scheduled to call there include the QE2 and Aurora.

n festival cuts costs of mistral itineraries


Festival Cruises has slashed the price of aone-week cruise on Mistral by 25%. A voyage to the Greek Isles departing on July 1 now starts at £1,062 for an outside cabin. The cruise out of Venice includes calls at Santorini, Mykonos and Rhodes.
