n new chief executive for star allianceStar Alliance has appointed Friedel Rodig of Lufthansa as chief executive. He was previously in a supervisory/ management role for the group. Bruce Harris, of United Airlines, will be Rodig’s deputy and the chief administrative officer for Star Alliance.
n aurigny air services increases flights
Aurigny Air Services has increased flights between Stansted and Guernsey. Services on Mondays and Fridays have been improved to four a day instead of three. Sunday services have increased to three daily in place of two. Fares start at £68 return.
n qatar airways adds flights on doha route
Qatar Airways has increased its Heathrow-Doha schedule from seven to nine weekly flights. The extra services are on Mondays and Saturdays. To mark the service, Qatar is offering two tickets for the price of one on flights completed by August 31.
