SABRE is attempting to get more agents connected to the Internet after highlighting the on-line disparity between the US and the UK.
Vice-president of international marketing Pam Craig said that only 20% of Sabre’s 900 agent partners in the UK currently had Internet access, whereas in the US the figure was around 80%.
However, she is hopeful that recent moves by UK Internet service providers to cut the cost of Web access will help encourage more agents on-line.
Sabre already has a range of Internet tools available for agents and more are under development.
