n jetset programme includes tasmania


Jetset’s current 2000 Australia and New Zealand programme features two Tasmania tours: a six-day, five-night self-drive option and a 10-day nine-night coach tour. The coach tour leads in at £1,025 per person, with a shorter version available at £875. Beginning at Launceston, the itinerary takes in Bicheno, Port Arthur, Hobart, Strahan, Cradle Mountain and Smithton.


n new guide offers wide range of options


The South Australia Bed and Breakfast Association has launched its 2000/2001 guide, coupled with an on-line booking service. The guide features over 240 options, ranging from old homesteads and country cottages to river paddle boats and working farms – 400 bed spaces will appear on the Web site.


n region to invest £9m in accommodation


Tasmania is to see an investment of £9 million in its accommodation sector over the next few years. Projects include a Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village and a waterfront resort on the popular Freycinet Peninsula.
