Alternatives will not offeradvantages
HAVING spoken to one or two Advantage members who have been approached by alternative consortia, it worries me that too many people think it’s easy to set up something as good as Advantage, or for that matter, Worldchoice. To my mind, there is no alternative to either of these two players. There is nobody else in the game who true independents should ally themselves with.
Speaking as an Advantage member, I believe my choice of Advantage was the better of the two. To these alternative consortiums Iwould like to ask a few questions.
1) Can you guarantee me the same if not better commission and retro deals across the board than Advantage?
2) Can you offer me the assistance of a sales development manager, who will work as hard for me as my sales development manager does at present?
3) Advantage has an inner core of friendship and business relationships – will you be able to match that?
4) Will you produce such fine point of-sale-material as I receive at the present?
5) Can you offer me a late search system as capable as I’ve got?
You may answer yes to all these but with all the advantages Ihave, nobody could give me more.
So when fly by nights offer you the world, do what I did. Say two words and hang up. You guessed them. Go away. What else do you think I said?
