Agents set to gain from new Caribtours commission deal

AGENTS will be paid full commission on all accommodation-only bookings and flight upgrades under a new deal with specialist operator Caribtours.

The deal, announced at the launch of the company’s 2001 brochure, replaces a two-tier structure which saw retailers paid a reduced level for non-packaged holidays.

Managing director Catherine Leech it wanted to show its commitment to agents.

Boutique-style properties have been added to the programme, including the newly opened 15-suite Little Good Harbour on Barbados and 16-room Laluna on Grenada which opens in November.

Other new resorts featured are the Tobago Hilton, Blue Haven and Stonehaven Villas on Tobago. Overall, the operator is targeting growth of 10%, taking carryings to 4,000.

Villas have been included in the programme for the first time with more than 1,000 available across the Caribbean.

In line with current trends, spa holidays have been added. Prices lead in at £757 for seven nights’ room only at the Kariwak Village Hotel on Tobago.
