Travelselect.com partnership develops WAP travel service

TRAVELSELECT.COM has teamed up with BTinternet to give frequent flyers travel information through a WAP service.

Passengers using BTinternet’s WAP portal will be able to find information on all major airlines, including departure and arrival airport; terminal and gate number; scheduled and actual departing and arrival times; duration and distance of flight and local time.

Flight information can be obtained by passengers entering their flight number, the date of departure or arrival and the airline into their mobile phone.

Additional services offered by Travelselect.com’s WAP information include a currency converter and company information, such as address, office opening hours and call-centre telephone numbers.

Information is available in five European languages – English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Normal mobile phone tariffs apply when using the BTinternet WAP portal.
