WORLDSPAN has beaten off rival global distribution system
and technology suppliers to win a strategic partnership with on-line business
travel firm travelstore.com.
The decision gives Worldspan access to the corporate travel
market in Europe for the first time.
Travelstore.com president and chief executive officer Bill
McFarlane said the firm had conducted an exhaustive review of distribution
systems before choosing Worldspan.
He said: “Our selection is based not only on its portfolio
of products, services and support but also on its commitment to travel
distribution.”
