THEFIRSTRESORT
will accelerate its development after receiving a £4 million cash injection
from the Automobile Association.
It is a
timely boost for the beleaguered travel dot com world, which has seen the
collapse of uTravel, dreamticket and destinex.
The deal will give AA an equity stake in TheFirstResort,
which is part owned by Thomson, with AA finance director Russell George
appointed to the dot com’s board.
