n ATMA forecasts 9% in UKvisitors for 1999
The Asia Travel Marketing Association is predicting UK visitors to the East Asia region will increase by 9% in 1999. Just under800,000 visited the area last year. Meanwhile, four newmembers have joined the association this year -Raffles International, Travel 2, Hayes and Jarvis and Hermis Travel.
n festival introduces caribbean for 2000
Festival Cruises has introduced the Caribbean to its new 2000 brochure. The programme offers two alternate weekly cruises, starting and finishing in Guadeloupe. It will take in Antigua, Tortola,Martinique and St Kitts. Prices start from £1,155 per person for a week.
n theme park to open for winter season
The Dutch theme park, Efteling, is opening for the winter season for the first time in its 47-year history. The park will be open on December 11-12 and 18-19 and from December 24 to January 9.
