Gulf Air unveils new managers

GULF Air has unveiled a new management team that it hopes will re-establish the airline as the leading carrier to the Gulf region.

Former British Airways regional manager for the Middle East Adel Abdulla Ali joins as Gulf Air vice-president commercial and customer services; captain Peter Weiss from Lufthansa Consulting has been appointed vice-president operations; and Neil Warringer joins Gulf Air from the Civil Aviation Authority in Bahrain. He will become assistant vice-president corporate affairs.

To signal Gulf Air’s plans to gain international recognition, it has embarked on a major initiative to enhance customer care, upgrade on-board entertainment, and on-time performance is to be improved to the international level of 85%.
