A NEW organisation has been set up to protect consumers who
make travel arrangements with European suppliers via the Internet.
The Bureau of European Union Travel Information and Services
is open to travel companies within the European Union that sell via the web or
take bookings by fax.
Beutis will ensure that all members are bonded with a regulatory
body form their country of origin. The idea is to make sure consumers who book
with foreign suppliers can get help if there is a problem with their booking or
even be repatriated if the need arises.
