Jamaica returning to normal following unrest

JAMAICA is returning to normal following recent civil unrest,
the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has said.

Resorts on the north coast are operating normally and unofficial
roadblocks set up during the violence have been removed, although visitors are
being advised to stay away from inner-city Kingston.

The unrest, which broke out last weekend, was sparked off
by a police raid in west Kingston searching for illegal weapons, the BBC has
reported.
