INTERNET communication company Yahoo! has launched a service
allowing consumers to make their travel arrangements on-line.
The operation, called Yahoo! Travel, acts as a portal,
putting consumers in touch with a supplier selling the product they want, ranging
from airfares and hotels to cruises and package holidays. Suppliers working
with Yahoo! include British Airways, Go, Saga, Lastminute.com and Ferrysavers.
The site also has a comprehensive information section
providing maps, weather reports, a currency converter and destination guides.
