FIRST Choice has axed two of its most senior bosses as
part of a major restructure.
First Choice holidays and flights managing director
Paul Evans and distribution managing director Peter Shanks were made redundant
on Friday.
Managing director UK and Ireland Dermot Blastland said
it had been working on a restructure for a while, but events in New York and
Washington “brought things more into focus.”
The cuts from First Choice
follow restructuring at rival firm Thomas Cook, which axed 60 staff on Friday,
including top brass from JMC.
