tapestry offers virtual tours of resorts

TAPESTRY Holidays is to mark the launch of its Greece and Turkey 2002
brochures with the addition of an interactive section to its website.

Visitors to www.tapestryholidays.com will be able to take a virtual tour
around their chosen room and even check out what the view is like from the
villa or hotel.

The new technology, which goes live on October 29, allows surfers to
‘move around’ a featured property to find exact requirements.

Managing director Nick Wrightman said: “We believe we are the first
operator to offer this combination of services on our website.” He added
this was Tapestry’s commitment to giving customers exactly what they want and
as much information as possible before bookings are made.

The site will also feature up-to-the-minute special offers, late
availability, travel information and reports on all destinations featured in
the new brochures.

Agents have their own site at www.tapestryagents.com where they can find
availability, a brochure ordering section, launch offers and the opportunity to
show clients on-line where they will be staying.

The latest Greece and Turkey brochures contain new destinations for
Tapestry, which specialises in luxury apartments and hotels in uncommercial
resorts.

The upmarket operator is offering the unspoilt mountain village of
Islamlar and the island getaway of Sovalye in Turkey next summer. Prices start
at £525 per person for seven nights self-catering.

Tapestry has also added the Four Seasons hotel in Istanbul to its stock
and extended the choice of cave house hotels at Cappadocia, Turkey.

The Greek Cephalonian beach area of Petani is also offered, at £575 per
person for seven nights including hire car.

Incentives for early bookers include six months’ interest free credit,
an operator first claims Tapestry.

The firm also has child places at £350, a significant
saving on adult prices, and two weeks for one and two people for one deals.
