P&O drops Middle East calls as fears rise after US attacks
P&OCRUISES has dropped its calls at Cyprus, Lebanon and Egypt in response to passenger concerns following the USterrorist attacks.
Instead, Aurora’s 17-night Holy Lands and Ancient Wonders’ departure from Southampton will now call at Gibraltar, Piraeus, Istanbul, Kusadasi, Rhodes and Palma.
Oriana’s Wonders of the World cruise from Southampton on November 13 will call at Gibraltar, Piraeus, Istanbul, Kusadasi, Rhodes and Malaga.
The 14-night Egypt and the Holy Land itinerary aboard Victoria, departing from Venice on October 19, will call at Gythion, Piraeus, Volos, Istanbul, Kusadasi, Marmaris, Dubrovnik and Split.
The 14-night Pyramids and Palaces, departing on November 16 from Venice, will call at Nauplia, Piraeus, Istanbul, Kusadasi, Rhodes, Aghios Nikolaos, Malta and Malaga.
Changes have also been made to Oriana’s world cruise from Southampton on January 5. The ship will now proceed via Tenerife, St Vincent, Walvis Bay, Cape Town, Durban, Port Louis and Singapore cutting out the Mediterranean, Suez Canal and Red Sea.
