A THREE-HOUR strike by staff at Manchester airport passed
without incident, management have claimed.
The staff, members of the Transport and General Workers
Union, went on strike between 3am and 6am today. The airport claims contingency
measures worked and there were no cancellations or delays to flights.
The strike was called because of an ongoing dispute over new
security plans that could see 200 people lose their jobs.
Another strike is planned this Saturday between 4am and 8am.
