airport staff reject pay and roster deal

SECURITY staff at Manchester airport have rejected an offer
from management that could have bought ongoing strike action to an end.

The staff, members of the Transport and General Workers
Union, had been offered a 10% pay rise and new roster arrangements.

Further industrial action is now on the cards after the
union’s rejection of the deal.

Security staff have been holding occasional strikes since
February after the airport’s management announced plans to cut budgets and
staff numbers.
