UK ON ALERT FOR TERROR ATTACKS

UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has issued a warning for
Britons to be “vigilant”, as ferry ports across the UK are put on a heightened state
of alert.

Blair said warnings were being received every day of
possible attacks, but nothing specific had been identified.

The ferry alert came after the FBI was understood to have
made the Government aware of possible threats to cross-Channel services. Security
has been stepped up at key ports like Dover.
