P&O stalwart Gwyn Hughes has confirmed he will stand for the ABTA
presidency – although his bid depends on him finding a job.
Hughes,
who left the cruiseline earlier this month, can only stake a claim for the post
if he is employed by an ABTA-recognised travel agent or tour operator. It’s
rumoured he’s likely to take a post at P&O Travel this week.
Travelscene sales director John Harding
and ABTA aviation committee chairman Sandy MacPherson are also standing.
