The
Advertising Standards Authority has rapped Ebookers over a poster advert which misled
consumers into believing an offer included flights and accommodation.
The
poster stated ‘Want Maori for your money? New Zealand, 14 nights from £319’.
The advertisement said flights weren’t included in small print, but a
complainant claimed the poster was not clear enough.
The
ASA said: “The Authority considered that the poster did not make clear the
advertised price included accommodation only, especially because the small
print could be easily overlooked.”
