Jungle fever for First Choice

FIRST Choice will introduce a jungle theme to its 374
retail outlets in January to coincide with its sponsorship of hit TV show I’m a
celebrity… get me out of here.

Stores and hypermarkets will be kitted out with themed
point-of-sale material and inflatable animals. In addition, children will be
given monkey masks and screens will show trailers for the show. Retail staff
making the most bookings in January will win a trip to the show’s set in
Australia.

Marketing director Sam Turnbull said the promotion
would be supported with offer-based advertisements in national newspapers and
on 3,000 billboards nationwide.

The promotion ties in with the launch of First
Choice’s third-edition brochures, out on Thursday.

Product director Tim Williamson said prices had been
“tweaked” but were up slightly on average. Best offers in all of the programmes
are included in a January Sales brochure, with a £99 lead-in deal.
