THE SPAA has cancelled agent workshops in Scotland amid
outrage that British Airways will axe commission from
May 1.
The Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association had planned, in
conjunction with BA, to host workshop evenings in Edinburgh on
March 2 and in Glasgow on March 3.
The sessions would have focused on topics such as BA’s
Executive Club, leisure products and online services.
But the SPAA has cancelled the workshops until it knows how BA
will “work with the trade” while scrapping agent
payments, said vice-president and air convener Sandy
MacPherson.
