Triton unfazed by Galaxy and Let’s Go defections

TRITON expects to increase its shops by 150 in 2006 despite losing 57 outlets with the defection of Galaxy Travel and Let’s Go Travel to Harvey World Travel.

Advantage managing director and Triton director John McEwan claimed Triton has added 24 locations since February through new members and existing members expanding.

New Advantage members include Roma Travel, from Midconsort Elite. Worldchoice has boosted outlets by 10 and Global Travel Group by eight. Triton has more than 2,000 outlets.

Meanwhile, the mega-consortium is to host roadshows to update members on developments. It starts in Birmingham on July 17, London on July 18, Manchester on July 25, Glasgow on July 26, and Belfast on July 27.
