TUI UK has hired search engine marketing firm Spannerworks to help improve and grow its online search presence
The deal, which will see the company run Search Engine Optimisations (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns, was announced at Travel Weekly sister publication Travolution’s conference being held at World Travel Market today (Tuesday) and tomorrow (Wednesday).
Spannerworks will initially work across three of the group’s brands – Thomson.co.uk, Latedeals.co.uk and Headwater.com.
The aim is to help TUI UK overcome difficulties associated with the search strategy of the large site.
Part of the campaign for Latedeals.co.uk will raise awareness of the holiday types available on the site, while activity brand Headwater.com will develop search times for the target audience.
TUI UK head of online marketing Nathan Timmins said: “We have been seeking an effective search partner for some time and one that could bring consistency to a site as large as Thomson.co.uk as well as the individual sites of our various brands.
“We liked Spannerworks because it has a wealth of experience in working with travel companies, solid project management practice and of course impressive results.”
