Disneyland Paris has unveiled details of its 2024 Halloween Festival and Christmas line-up which includes a new ‘night-time spectacular’.
The Disney Halloween Festival runs from October 1 until November 3 and is followed by the Disney Enchanted Christmas programme of events from November 9 until January 6, 2025.
This includes a new show called Doctor Strange: Mystery of the Mystics, which will run from November 23 until March 29 at Marvel Avengers Campus and a new night-time spectacular, which debuts on January 10, 2025.
For Halloween, the park will extend its opening hours until 11pm on October 31, with guests invited to dress up for the occasion.
Little ghosts will greet guests on entry and inside there will be the chance to meet Disney villains such as Cruella, Maleficent, Jafar, Gaston, Captain Hook, the Queen of Hearts, and, for the first time, Mother Gothel from the Walt Disney Animation Studios movie Tangled.
Other new additions this year include the opportunity to meet Miguel from the Pixar Animation Studios movie Coco in Frontierland and see Stitch in his new vampire outfit as he tours Discoveryland.
A twice-daily Halloween festival procession, Mickey’s Halloween Celebration, will showcase Goofy, Chip ’n’ Dale and friends on several floats, which include Mickey’s Illusion Manor.
Disney villains will cast a spell over the night time Disney Electrical Sky Parade on Sleeping Beauty Castle, which will have a Halloween theme, while there will be new dishes on the menus and in stores on the park, such as Pumpkin Shortbread and spiced pumpkin-flavoured ‘Cold Coffee Boo’.
During this year’s festive programme, Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade will run twice daily along Main Street, featuring nearly 90 artists, with Mickey Mouse, Disney princesses and Santa joining the fun.
The musical Let’s Sing Christmas will be staged in the Videopolis Theatre featuring Mickey, Minnie and friends, with traditional Christmas carols.
There will also be appearances by Mickey, Minnie and friends from November 16 once daily in the Town Square while Disney princesses will also perform a waltz at the foot of Sleeping Beauty Castle, where the Disney Electrical Sky Parade will also be held in the evening, lighting up the castle with Christmas colours.
A new storytelling show will take place at Disneyland Hotel this year, replacing La Troupe Royale Disney in the reception area and featuring the appearance of The Keeper of Time and the Winter Light.
On New Year’s Eve, Disneyland Paris will hold its fireworks display in the park, and will stay open until 1am.
The new night-time spectacular from January 10 with combine iconic songs and projections of Disney characters on Sleeping Beauty Castle.
The show promises to ‘push the technical boundaries’ of previous shows such as Disney Dreams with a combination of projections, fountains and lighting effects.
It will incorporate the park’s Main Street, USA, and use images from Disney Animation films such as Pinocchio, Beauty and the Beast and Encanto as well as moments featuring Buzz Lightyear.
