Silversea relaunches trade recognition programme

Silversea has reopened nominations for its agent recognition programme for 2025.

The line’s regional sales team members will put forward between 10 and 12 agents each month for the Advocate Programme.

Connie Georgiou, Silversea sales director for the UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa, described the scheme as “unique” as it recognises anyone who supports the line, for example through a marketing campaign or by delivering training, as well as top sellers.

She added: “Agents aspire to become advocates again the following year, so the more we do it, the more competitive it gets.

“It does have an impact on business, revenue, marketing, loyalty and understanding of the brand, and it’s much easier to work with the trade when they really want to know about [the product], and they are not forced to sell it.”

All agents chosen to be advocates receive a Silversea plaque and gift every month, along with an invitation to a special lunch.

A smaller number of agents within the Advocate Programme will also be selected to attend a VIP Silversea trip through a draw.

For the past year’s cohort, nominated between 2024 and 2025, this will take place on one of the line’s newest ships.

Georgiou said: “We sadly can’t take everyone [on the trip], but I will do a draw to take five lucky advocates with me on Silver Ray (pictured) in May.

“Agents will have their own suite, and it will not be a fam because we want them to experience it as a guest as a thank you.”

Prizes in the scheme have included Amazon vouchers, while 60 agents attended a lunch at L’Oscar London.

The initiative was resumed in 2023 following a pause over the pandemic.
