USAirtours gains Living Wage Foundation accreditation

USAirtours has been accredited by the Living Wage Foundation as a real living wage employer.

This ensures that everyone in the company is paid a basic salary that is over 10% more than the current National Minimum Wage.

The new pay also incorporates a working from home allowance of £100 per month in addition to doubling the available commission for the sales department.

Founder and chief executive Guy Novik said: “Despite the significant jump in the employer’s national insurance contribution from April, we wanted to signal both to our current team how much we value them, as well as being an attractive employer for future talented staff.”

The trade-only operator has now expanded beyond its pre-Covid headcount to 85 staff and last year was externally assessed by Investors in People and certified as ‘gold standard’.

The real living wage is an independently calculated hourly rate of pay based on the actual cost of living.

Kuoni became an accredited real living wage employer in November.
