Direct-sell operator Hidden Croatia is to start selling through the trade, offering agents 10% commission.
Head of sales Alison Jago said the change in strategy comes as the operator targets a threefold increase in 2007 on this year’s 1,500 customers.
The operator is offering everything from traditional packages to accommodation-only in order to allow agents to dynamically package.
Jago said: “Agents are an extremely cost effective route to the market and offer high demand. Independent specialist travel agents have a strong future with Hidden Croatia.
“In return, as well as the commission, we can offer them the levels of service they have come to expect from an independent tour operator.”
Jago added commercial terms have already been agreed with the Co-operative Travel Trading Group and Independent Options.
