Harvey World Travel will launch a database of staff holiday experiences in the UK early this year.
Part of its ‘We know, we care’ campaign, it is hoped the database will be used to help staff sell destinations they have not been to.
HWT head of commercial Andy Tomlinson said: “The campaign is focused around the new database. All branches will have access to it via the intranet and it will constantly be up-dated, providing information on where staff have visited. Some of the
content will be available on the consumer site as well.”
Meanwhile, Tomlinson said in the weeks leading up to Christmas, its best performing shop was the newly opened branch in Virgin Megastore in Dudley, West Midlands.
“It’s a really popular branch and it’s had a lot of people popping in while doing their Christmas shopping.”
Tomlinson expects January and February to be a good period for Virgin Holidays sales through HWT thanks to a partnership launched last year.
