A homeworker jetted to Goa this week to throw a beach party for around 200 of his clients who are on holiday in the destination.
Goan-born Werner Gomes who works for Personal Travel Advisors – a division of Future Travel – is staging the event in the resort of Cavelossim on Monday. He has invited customers and contacts to enjoy the entertainment, which includes a live band and fireworks.
Gomes has worked for Future Travel for two years and before Christmas he decided he wanted to show his appreciation to all the customers who have supported him. He was recently rewarded as one of the company’s top sellers and is now an Elite member.
Gomes has a degree in science but chose to work in the travel industry. He said: “I absolutely love my job in travel and wouldn’t want to do anything else. Last year was a really busy year for me and I wanted to thank my customers who have supported me throughout.”
Future Travel’s brand development manager Amanda Taylor is also attending the event. She said: “He is going to end up with so much more business. It really is giving the personal touch.”
Gomes hopes to expand his business by specialising in selling spa and yoga breaks in Goa.
