Cadogan adds online booking to travel agent website – 22 Feb 2007

Cadogan Holidays has launched a revamped bookable website for agents.

New marketing and sales director Geoff Lawrence said he decided to scrap the original non-bookable site when he started with the destination specialist in December.

The new site is being launched with the option of arranging and booking single-centre holidays only, departing from April onwards.

He said: “There’s a lot of good travel agents who just want to get a quote from us and if it is a straightforward one it is now really easy for them to get it online.”

Lawrence added while further developments for the site are being planned, agents will still need to ring the operator when arranging multi-centre breaks which account for around half of Cadogan’s sales.

He said: “We’d rather they did ring us as we can use our knowledge to advise them to ensure they book the right holiday.”

Six newly trained staff have joined the sales telephone reservation team this month as part of the operator’s commitment to supporting agency sales.
