Triton Conference preview
Triton members are being asked for their views on how the consortium has developed over the past year since its inaugural conference.
A video crew is visiting a selection of members to record their views, which will be screened in the opening session at next month’s conference.
Global Travel Group chief executive and Triton director Andrew Botterill said: “I expect to get a mixture of positive feedback and constructive criticism that we need to work on.”
Triton has also surveyed members about how it has performed so far, the results of which are being collated ahead of the conference.
“We are happy with the feedback,” Botterill said. “Where we thought we have got some challenges we have, and where we have done well we have. In general, the message is ‘well done, let’s do even better going forward’.”
Among the successes Triton bosses highlighted were training, helping to stem the tide of dwindling commissions, rolling out best practice across the group and technology. Price comparison tool Triton Search, which was made free to members, is now in 83% of the super-consortium’s agencies.
