Ian Coyle is to leave youtravel.com to work for website dosomethingdifferent.com, part of ATD Travel Services.
Coyle, youtravel.com’s international sales and marketing manager, will start his new job in September as commercial director. Previously Coyle worked for Holiday Autos for 10 years.
In his new role he will be responsible for spearheading the company’s move into selling through the trade and will focus on establishing affiliate, commission and white-label deals with airlines, tour operators and travel agents online and through the high street.
ATD Travel Services founder Oliver Brendon said dosomethingdifferent.com, launched last year, offers more than 800 experiences worldwide and had always planned to sell through the trade. It currently sells through thomascook.com.
The company plans to double the portfolio within 12 months and will add Thailand, Malaysia, Bali, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Barcelona, Rome, Prague and Amsterdam in the next three months.
