Advantage has signed a unique agreement with Oasis Hong Kong Airlines, cutting out credit card fees and billing and settlement systems.
It will allow consortium members to book seats online and process payments through the Advantage central payments system, earning members their usual commission with Oasis.
The contract was signed last week and Advantage leaders hope to conclude similar deals with other carriers.
Corporate director Ken McLeod said: “It is a real breakthrough and may be a precursor to other agreements. The consortium is in talks with at least two other airlines.”
Advantage Focus4Fares manager Steve Murray added: “Any dotcom airlines that you don’t have to book through a global distribution system could benefit from something similar.”
