Agent makes £120,000 cruise booking

A travel agent used his Irish charm to bag a £120,000 booking for part of a round-the-world cruise.

Tony Robinson of cruisingcoast2coast.com in Woking, Surrey booked a couple on the return leg of Cunard’s new Queen Victoria from Sydney to Southampton.

The couple will enjoy a luxury Queen Grill Suite with a dedicated waiter, marble bathroom and whirlpool bath. The same client provided the homeworker with his second largest booking: an £84,000 trip on the Queen Elizabeth 2 last year.

He said: “The client has homes in Spain, Hong Kong and Sydney so he has money to burn. People who spend large amounts of money are often loyal to their travel agent, and we’ve built up a good relationship.”
