Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) will bring back its Walk for Wellness challenge to raise money for charity later this year.
The initiative debuted last year with more than 1,400 agents walking nearly 100,000 miles during the month of May which raised £15,000 for Abta LifeLine and the ITAA Benevolent Fund.
Gary Anslow, regional vice-president and head of UK & Ireland, announced the return of the initiative on Norwegian Aqua’s inaugural sailing.
He told agents: “When we launched we wanted to make the most of the lighter and warmer evenings and encourage people to get out and think about their health and mental wellness.
“Sitting behind a desk, we need to get out and exercise and have better mental health.
“Last year, there was an enormous community of engagement and it really made a difference and we got loads of great feedback, so we’re going to do it again this year.”
Anslow added Abta Lifeline and ITAA Benevolent Fund did “an outstanding job” supporting the industry and he was proud to be partnering with them again.
