Icelandair is rebranding its nine aircraft in a bid to raise its profile in the international market.
President Sigurdur Helgason said growing competition in international markets, which account for 70% of the airline’s passengers, meant the airline needed ‘a fresh brand image is needed to increase visibility.’
Icelandair general manager Hannes Hilmarsson said: “We have come a long way since being a pioneer low-fare transatlantic carrier. We needed a new image to reflect this change.”
The new logo is being unveiled during World Travel Market at Earl’s Court in London.
