Holiday Taxis aims to double passenger numbers to two million next year and has announced a deal with no frills airline Jet2.com.
The transfer company plans to offer 4,000 gateways and around 100 countries by next year and will also provide transfers for Jet2.com’s customers.
Sales director Russell Parr said: “We are focused on doubling business next year and we are looking at other opportunities that come our way. We want global reach.”
Parr said new technology being developed by the company for 2008 would be a ‘significant’ benefit but would not reveal more details.
Chief executive Paul Stanyer said: “To say we want to double the business in 2008 is a bold statement, but we wouldn’t say it if we couldn’t achieve it.”
Stanyer also believes the trade is becoming more aware that customer service and health and safety are important factors in transfers.
He said: “An increasing number of agents are starting to realise quality is far more important. Price is important but customer service experience is of the upmost importance.”
Both Parr and Stanyer said the dynamic packaging boom and new low-cost flight routes are key to Holiday Taxis’ growth.
The company also plans to announce two new partnerships by the end of the year.
