Thomas Cook head of sales for the south Paula Lacey has left to join field marketing company The Network.
Lacey, who prior to Thomas Cook was trading director at TV Travel Shop, has been recruited as business development director.
She joins The Network as it plans its next stage of growth following its recent relocation to a new headquarters in Chiswick, west London.
As well as distributing material to travel agencies and providing auditing services, the company runs mystery shopping exercises, trains agents and organises more than 150 evening events each year for organisations including the Truly Independent Professional Travel Organisation.
The Network’s managing director Jane Dyson said: “Paula’s experience in retail travel, tour operating and new media will be invaluable to us in the next stage of growth. More and more companies, not just in the travel industry, are using field marketing as an integral part of their overall marketing strategy.”
Lacey, who will represent The Network at the The Travel Convention next week with sales director Sally Collie, added: “I am also looking forward to working across other divisions of the company, including the media and financial services sectors.”
