Contestants on Sky One’s Nothing But The Truth are asked a series of questions that they have to answer truthfully. Prior to the show contestants take a lie detector test so they can’t fool anyone.

“The show is all about how well you can lie so the fact I won the cash and still have my marriage intact is quite something,” said Jo.

“To get on the programme I had phone interviews, two auditions in London and a final meeting where I had to take a polygraph test. It was great fun.

“I love taking part in TV shows and will probably have a look at things to apply for in April. However, I’ve got so much work on at the moment and that has to take priority.”

Jo has 23 years’ experience working in the travel industry – starting in an agency at the age of 15. She went on to work at Pickfords Travel, AT Mays and Thomas Cook before becoming a homeworker.

She has spoken to customers about her game show hobby. “I have told them when I am going to be on.”

Jo said she is will spend her money on a flat she has bought to rent out. She will appear on Nothing But The Truth on February 20 at 10pm on Sky One.

Jo is no stranger to game shows, having appeared on Deal or No Deal last year, where she won £8,000, as well as Dirty Rotten Cheater, hosted by Brian Conley.
