Worldchoice deal could give TTA access to Triton Travel Group

The Triton Travel Group could expand to include the Travel Trust Association under the proposed merger with Worldchoice.

Worldchoice members will retain access to Triton products alongside fellow members the Global Travel Group and Advantage under the deal.

TTA director Todd Carpenter said: “We sell Stella products and we are going to sell Stella products. The Worldchoice guys still have to decide whether to give us the keys [to Triton].”

Triton’s structure is under review. It is unlikely new members would automatically have access to the same commercial deals as existing members.

Andrew Laurie, UK managing director of Stella Travel Services, which owns Global, said: “There is still the opportunity to work with Worldchoice within Triton; it’s not quite the same as owning them but it gives us opportunities.”
