Ryanair reopens online booking system

Ryanair returned to normal business yesterday after completing alterations to its website a day ahead of schedule.

The airline’s reservation system was expected to be closed until late today. Some minor glitches are still expected for the next few days.

Ryanair shut the site to comply with the Office of Fair Trading instruction to display all prices inclusive of tax and charges. The airline failed to meet the deadline for compliance of the end of January.

To mark the re-opening of the site’s booking system, Ryanair is selling one million seats for 1p – inclusive of tax and airport charges – from tomorrow.
