Bales joins forces with English Heritage to launch cultural holidays

Long haul specialist Bales Worldwide has joined forces with English Heritage to offer cultural holidays exclusively to the organisation’s members.

The English Heritage Travel Collection features trips to ancient and exotic locations including Indochina, Egypt, India, Chile and Zambia. Prices for a nine-day Nile cruise start at £775 per person based on a double or twin share.

Bales designed the holidays to appeal to heritage lovers. They include a detailed itinerary of World Heritage Sites of Halong in Vietnam, majestic temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia and Buddhist monasteries in Bhutan.

English Heritage business development manager Michelle Davis said: “Bales was the obvious partner for our exciting new overseas travel collection. This family-owned company has a rich history itself with a 60-year record of talking culture seekers from the UK to far flung lands such as China and Arabia. The English Heritage Travel Collection includes many of the world’s most breathtaking historical and archaeological sites which will certainly appeal to our 665,000 members.”

Initially seven journeys will be available throughout the year. Options include a Lakes, Mountains and Vineyards holiday from £2,830 per person taking in the Lake District region which straddles Argentina and Chile then on to the vineyards of Santiago and Mendoza.
