Carnival UK’s six cruise line brands united to honour its top trade partners at the operator’s annual awards ceremony last night.

Carnival Cruise Line, Cunard, Holland America Line, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises and Seabourn hosted the ‘UK Cruise Awards’ at 100 Wardour Street bar and restaurant in London.

More than 250 people attended the event including agent partners from various sectors including homeworkers, multiples, independents and call centres.

The big winner on the night was Iglu who took home two awards, the first being Princess Cruises’ outstanding contribution award.

The online cruise agency also won Carnival UK’s travel business winner.

Vice president Princess Cruises UK and Europe, Tony Roberts, said: “What I love the most about this event is the how all our brands unite to honour our trade partners.

“At our awards we really get to honour our agent partners achievements. It is our way of saying thank you to our trade partners for all the amazing work they do to support our brands.”

P&O Cruises Trevor DuPont was awarded the line’s outstanding contribution award after working from the company for 39 years.

Chief executive of Carnival UK, David Noyes, said: “We have had a groundbreaking 2016 and this is all thanks to our agents so we are here to thank them.

“Sales for 2017 and 2018 are already going really well and that is all down to the support of our agents.”
