Cruiseline Costa Cruises has signed up with the Italian Celiac Association to provide a gluten-free menu on board its ships.
The menu will be specially devised for passengers who suffer from celiac disease, a long-term digestive disorder that can only be treated by having a strict gluten-free diet.
The menu has already been launched on board its flagships Costa Concordia and Costa Serena, which are operating seven-day cruises in the Mediterranean this summer, and will soon be extended to its other ships in the Mediterranean and northern Europe, which in total relates to 11 ships.
Celiac sufferers need to make their special dietary requirements known when they book a cruise with the company.
