A new commercial partnership will see hundreds of Solmar Villas marketed under Jet2holidays’ new Jet2Villas brand.
The new trading agreement covers properties in destinations such as mainland Spain, the Balearic islands, Canary Islands, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey and Croatia.
They are being distributed via a dedicated new Jet2Villas.com website.
The move follows a 32% hike in sales of villa rentals for Solmar over the last two years.
It is the first time that the package holiday specialist has offered a dedicated villa rental proposition following the announcement of a move into self-catering accommodation last year.
Solmar Villas managing director Julie Blake said: “We are delighted to have secured this exciting new distribution channel for our portfolio as there are natural synergies between our villa locations and the destinations served by Jet2holidays.
“We have over 20 years’ experience in this marketplace and with all of our villas being hand-picked based on very strict criteria covering facilities, design and proximity to resort amenities, Jet2 was able to proceed with confidence.”
She added: “We will be looking to further grow our portfolio of properties by adding new destinations over the coming months which will enable customers and travel agents to choose from even more, with the added benefit of just a £60 deposit per person when booking through Jet2Villas.”
