Members of the Travel Trust Association are to receive preferential commission rates on Apartments Abroad products, following its appointment as an official business partner of the association.
The deal – which applies to products in the accommodation-only specialist’s global portfolio of more than 20,000 properties – could also be extended to hundreds more agents if the proposed Worldchoice/TTA merger receives court approval.
TTA founding director Steve Clark said Apartments Abroad ticks all the right boxes. “It has both the necessary experience and the products, and understands what agents and consumers are looking for. We’re impressed with the range and its quality, especially in the family sector where they are particularly strong,” he said.
Apartments Abroad also has preferred or approved supplier agreements in place with The Co-operative Travel Trading Group, Hays Travel’s Independence Group, Elite, Travelchoice, Harvey World Travel and TUI.
